RGWCEI: Hannah shared posters from the Bee Pollinators contest. There
was a general consensus that H was the best poster and C had the best art. Hanna needs local winners by Thursday November 5 so those were decided on. She will inform us of the next steps in the contest. There was no further RCWCEI business.
Regular Business
- Minutes were not voted on as there was no Quorum
- Financial documents were not voted on as there was no Quorum
Pay Bills
- Bills to be paid were not approved as there was no Quorum. The check to MicroBiometer 433.00 that was approved last month will be returned to MHCD marked as void as it was not made out to the proper company. Patrick paid the appropriate company through PayPal for $400 and submitted an invoice for reimbursement.
- Wall Smith Bateman $85 Needs to be approved BEFORE MAILING
- Soil Health Services $400 Microbio Meter Needs to be approved BEFORE MAILING
- Soil Health Services $15,750 Data Collection CSCB Needs to be approved BEFORE MAILING
- Soil Health Services $264.42 Earthfort & Ward Labs Shipping Check was mailed to SHS October 28 as reimbursement for shipping costs
- Soil Carbon Coalition $2,000 Check was mailed on October 28 as a CSCB reimbursement
- Earthfort $3,013.26 Check was mailed out on October 28 as a CSCB cost for testing
- Ward Labs $793 Check was mailed out on October 28 as a CSCB cost for testing
- Jackie Mejia $150 Zoom Bob Rice donated $150 to MHCD to pay for a year of ZOOM then had Jackie deposit a check from MHCD into her account so she could use a credit card. Needs to be approved. Money is deposited by Jackie already

New Business/Action Items
- Bob would like to see a follow-up for the apparatus for the Colorado Water Board Recharge project
- Bob and Patrick will discuss the best fit for MHCD with the Roundtable and will work with Robin to find the best ideas for MHCD.
We need to spend $16,000 on grant writing by June as we have received a grant writing grant for this purpose. We will call for a work session Bob will handpick who will attend
We need to look for more ways to bring in money to pay for operational funds. Everyone needs to consider ideas.
There may be $150,000 available for CIG but we need to find an administrator who can handle this large of a grant and funding. We also need to identify other grants and grant writers.
Jackie needs to work on the website and make sure all ZOOM links are available to the public. Jackie will concentrate on the website this month and try to get it more user friendly.

- Ben & Jerry’s Foundation LOI submitted 8/24/20 for Consensus Training. If approved, full proposal to be requested in October/November. Status of Full Proposal Request still pending.
